The connectors with 6.0 mm contact diameter are made of gold-plated brass. The gold coating increases the conductivity and corrosion resistance, but also reduces the burn-off caused by frequent plugging and pulling of the plug and socket, which benefits the service life. With only 0.2 mOhm, the electrical resistance of the plug connection is very low and enables a short-term current rating of up to 130 A. To achieve this performance potential, the use of high-quality silicone cables with copper strands of 8 AWG or 10 mm² wire diameter is recommended.
